LEW Sheffield branch manager, Dean Wilsher, will run the London Marathon next year for the Electrical Industries Charity
As part of LEW’s continuing support for the Electrical Industries Charity, Dean will be participating in the 2019 London Marathon. His aim is to raise vital funds for an extremely worthwhile cause: The Caz Dickinson Appeal.
Below is a message from Dean explaining the importance of his fundraising and how you can help support the EIC’s charitable pledge:
Caz Dickinson, a mother, grandmother and loving wife spent 15 years working in the electrical industry for a wholesaler until her life changed in the blink of an eye. In 2009, Caz suffered a coughing fit and suddenly collapsed, hitting her head on the bathroom floor. She was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 brain haemorrhage. This has left irreversible brain damage. The family has struggled without financial aid. The ongoing expenses, combined with Caz’s husband being made redundant, resulted in the family losing their home in 2013.
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me where donations will be quickly processed and passed to the EIC. Collectively with other fundraisers the EIC hope to raise £250,000 for the Dickinson family to provide them with a lasting family home for Caz’s development and care.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
Your support is greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance for any donations. You can sponsor me via my Virgin Money Giving page.
