At our Lincoln branch, Warehouse Operatives Tom James and Jack Hague have recently completed their Introductory Product Knowledge Modules with the Electrical Distributors’ Association. The modules make up a set of 12 long distance training courses that are designed to help wholesale staff with official qualifications from a recognised industry organisation.
Both Tom and Jack have passed their two introductory modules with top marks, earning distinctions on both assessments. The lads will now choose specific modules to progress through the course with, specifying which areas they would like to improve their product knowledge on. Further modules include training on Heating & Ventilation, Cable & Cable Management, Renewables and Lighting Systems & Control.
LEW Managing Director, Andy Johnson, has played a key role in the development of the Distribution, Switchgear and Protection module. “It was a pleasure to assist with the Distribution, Switchgear and Protection module’, Andy says, ‘and to support the next generation of electrical wholesalers in their product knowledge and career development”.
