We are delighted to announce that LEW Electrical Distributors have acquired the trading assets of Direct Electrical Wholesalers (UK) Ltd in Huddersfield. This is part of our continued expansion plans and is the 18th branch in the LEW network.
Direct Electrical Wholesalers are a long-established business with 23 years trading history. The location on St Andrews Road, Huddersfield gives our combined customer base a stronger service offering along with an improved experience when working outside their local area. The vast amount of experience and local knowledge of the DEW team has been fundamental in the purchase and we are very excited about working with our new colleagues.
The acquisition will also expand the LEW coverage in Yorkshire, becoming our 8th branch in Yorkshire.
New Branch Manager
The branch will be managed by Joe Powell, who has worked at LEW Barnsley since June 2015. During his 8 years at LEW, Joe has developed his career with LEW, starting as a Sales Account Manager and becoming Assistant Manager last year. He has also shown a commitment to the community, taking part in challenges such as Yorkshire Three Peaks and Great North Run, raising funds for noble causes.
I am delighted that Ben Beardsall, DEW Managing Director, will continue to work with the business to ensure a smooth transition for both the customers and the LEW team.
